Elon Musk Rebuked By Saturday Night Live

Elon Musk baffled almost everyone when he announced that he would be hosting SNL’s next episode, on May 8.
Nevertheless, once Elon Musk is chosen to host SNL, featuring Miley Cyrus, people went burrowing Musk’s tweets to find shocking contentious posts on his Twitter account.

Elon Musk will be the first host who is neither an actor nor an athlete to host Saturday Night Live since Donald Trump back in 2016. Unfortunately, when CNBC confirmed that Musk would, in fact, host SNL, all hell broke loose.

Elon Musk is known for his sarcastic tweets, his eccentricity, being the most controversial CEO on Twitter, a fan of dark humour. He is simply a down-to-earth individual who doesn’t take himself too seriously and enjoys a good laugh. Apparently, a massive wave of people resent his sense of humour and all his jokes. Usually via Twitter comments, but never so aggressively as to what is happening now, for hosting SNL. Oh, the fury!

SNL VS. Elon Musk

Cast members conveyed via Twitter their disdain by refusing to sit next to Musk or share this experience with him. Surprisingly enough, a pair had deleted their posts, both on Twitter and on Instagram.
Last Sunday, Yang posted a picture on Instagram of a tweet from Musk that says, “Let’s find out how live “Saturday Night Live” really is,”. I still don’t fully comprehend Yang’s reply which was, “What the f**** does this even mean?”
It means what it means.

Further, in less than no time after Musk’s hosting gig was officially announced, cast member Aidy Bryant retweeted from her fellow cast member send. Twitter has been deleted. Weird.

Truth be told, Elon Musk is known to be causing agreement day in, and day out on social media, particularly on Twitter. He has attained a massive fan base due to his genius and tech ideas, his nonconformity, and his outspoken wit. Additionally, his sarcasm, his unpretentiousness, and many more positive attributes.
However, since SNL is hosting Elon Musk this week, he is being backlashed; people who find him demeaning and unethical are digging up a series of unfortunate events and using it against him. Here are just a few of Musk’s conduct that SNL staff bashed him with.

1-The Joe Rogan Experience

This incident drove most people crazy. Both fans and “non-fans” of Elon Musk. The latter has taken a single puff of a marijuana joint on the comedian’s podcast; it was 2.5 hours long, and yet they have focused on that succinct second of puffing a joint. Note that recreational marijuana use in DC and nine other US states, inclusive of California, is legal. The podcast was recorded in California.

2- The Coronavirus Misinformation

During the early pandemic days, Elon Musk got spammed on Twitter for dispersing COVID-19 false information. He was attacked for over a year for tweeting controversial declarations and was responded to with utter contempt.

3- The Mars Controversy

Though Musk himself stated that it was a funny ad – a mere joke, people took it gravely and apparently had a lot to say.
It started out by Elon Musk announcing on Twitter that due to the coronavirus “a bunch of people will probably die”; that was at the same time when SpaceX had its first attempted voyage to Mars. Musk added, “You might die…and you probably won’t have good food and all these things. It’s an arduous and dangerous journey where you may not come back alive, but it’s a glorious adventure. Sounds appealing. Mars is the place. That’s the ad. That’s the ad for Mars.” Does that seem menacing? It is obviously a joke.

4- The Tesla Union Post

On the downside, that was kind of harsh. Realistic and a serious CEO talk, but still harsh. He was bashed for underestimating his workers. At one point he was called “Satan” on Twitter, selfish and rude. Negativity all the way.

5- The Fascism Interview

Another anti-coronavirus statement Elon Musk has made was in an interview, where he said that getting arrested if you leave your residence during quarantine is fascist. Of course, nobody was thrilled to hear Musk say that. Not even his fans. Elon Musk seems to take the pandemic very lightly.

6- The Baby’s Name

I honestly do not know what this has to do with Elon Musk and SNL, but it was brought up and spread like wildfire. Mocking him for the name of his baby. I say personal life, his personal life. Controversial name or not. Conclusion

Elon Musk hasn’t even hosted SNL yet and he’s already being slammed by plenty of people, especially some SNL cast members.
Though deemed controversial, he is no stranger to the spotlight. He shared his ideas bluntly. For instance, that he’d love to see in reality, such as “Iron Man”; not the one we are familiar with, but a character who “defeats villains using the power of irony.” Elon Musk is indeed the funny and creative type, who isn’t afraid to crack a joke, no matter the circumstances. To prove how down-to-earth and ironic this CEO is, he named his company, “The Boring Company.”
Billionaire Elon Musk is determined to host SNL on May 8 in spite of all criticism he is facing. SNL has officially announced Elon Musk as a host.
Make sure to watch it! Saturday Night Live, May 8!
