Upon typing ‘’facts about Elon Musk,’’ Google redirects you to hundreds of facts from Musk’s childhood, achievements of his companies, or even pieces of advice about career and life in general. However, they don’t quite grasp the multi-billionaire entrepreneur’s vision. The following facts we’ve compiled represent Elon Musk as we know him; pioneer, wise, and charismatic.

  1. Musk has reduced the cost of reaching the International Space Station by 90%, bringing it down from $1 billion per single mission to just $60 million.                                                                                            Also worthy of mentioning, SpaceX’s Falcon was the first spacecraft to deliver cargo to International Space Station and return back safely. If that doesn’t show you resilience, we don’t know what will.
  1. SpaceX plans to fly unmanned spacecraft to Mars as soon as 2018.                                                                  Musk hasn’t been secretive about his plans to colonize Mars or even dying there! The upcoming step will be building the first human mission to Mars, his goal is to land there by 2025. Musk promised to share more details about his mission to Mars in the International Astronautic Conference, Guadalajara Mexico on September 26-30, 2017.

“Essentially what we’re saying is we’re establishing a cargo route to Mars,” he said. “It’s a regular cargo route.                 You can count on it. It’s going to happen every 26 months. Like a train leaving the station,’’ he continued.

  1. Musk asks the same questions to every potential team member/employee.                                                      ”What’s the story of your life? What major life decisions that you’ve made along your way? What were the most difficult problems you’ve encountered, and how did you solve them?” He believes these types of questions reveal what a person is made of, and since the potential employees know the solutions to extreme life challenges, they will be familiar with the little details in life, which is what he’s looking for.
  1. Musk is unsure about himself                                                                                                                                  In a recent interview, Musk revealed that he is not sure he wants to be himself. When asked about his advice for people who want to be like him, he said ‘’it sounds better than it really is – they shouldn’t be me, it’s not as much fun as it seems.’’ Really deep, Elon.
  1. Musk advises people to familiarize themselves with physics                                                                         He believes that the best analytical framework for the future is physics.  ‘’I recommend you study the thinking process around physics, not the equations, but its way of thinking. It is best to understand things counter-intuitive,” he added.
