Tesla has officially completed site preparations for its Gigafactory 4 located in the outskirts of Berlin, and will now work on constructing its production facility.
In a video posted on YouTube, YouTuber ‘Tesla Kid Grünheide’ shows cleared land and constructed roadways on the site via aerial drone footage.
In a tweet posted in November of last year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that the plant will focus on building batteries, powertrains and vehicles, with an emphasis on the Model Y regarding the latter.

Musk then tweeted that the plant will also have an underground rave, and ran a poll to see people’s responses.
Tesla wrote on their website that production at the Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg is expected to begin in 2021; there were fears that the emergence of COVID-19 could derail those plans.
According to a report by Reuters on May 11 , German Economy Minister Peter Altmaier said that he did not expect any major delays to the construction of the plant due to the pandemic.
